Professional Experience
Kari Roush has spent more than a decade representing the interests of corporate clients, both big and small. Her practice focuses primarily on technology transactions and corporate governance.
​
Kari has a broad range of experience in drafting and negotiating technology agreements. Kari's work includes reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements regarding software licensing, Software-as-a-Service ("SaaS"), payment processing services (debit, credit, and ACH), electronic customer service support services, and text messaging platforms, among other things. She also has experience with writing and reviewing terms of use and privacy policies.

Kari also assists companies with corporate governance, working with clients to ensure compliance with laws and regulations (i.e., TCPA, GLBA, HIPAA, FCRA) and risk mitigation through the development and enforcement of workplace policies and procedures. She works with clients to protect trade secrets and confidential information through employee and third-party confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements. Kari regularly advises clients on developments in the ever-changing arenas of data privacy and information security, including with regard to the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence ("AI").

Kari’s past experience involved general civil litigation and complex commercial litigation, as well as commercial and consumer arbitration proceedings, where she frequently litigated breaches of contract and the misappropriation of trade secrets. As a result, Kari is also available to provide consultation support for litigated technology issues.
